Hey Neighbors! The following is some brief information that was discussed at last Thursday night’s meeting… this is for those who could not attend or who did not take notes, but especially for some of us who are getting up in years and can't remember what was said! So here are some of the highlights, or at least what I remember.
I had a great time seeing friends and fence-line neighbors,
as did others who have e-mailed and called. Let’s keep it going!
The next lesson will be on March 20th 6:30 pm at Cathy and
Robert Wards; it will be on lunar planting; no, we are not going to the moon to
break ground on another garden project, we have enough in our own back
yards. To my understanding, Erica
Jensen will be teaching us about the benefits of planting by the phases of the
moon, like our forefathers did.
Since Lorna Sandberg introduced this topic last year I have been
excited, because my Arkansas sharecropping grandfather always planted this way
but never passed along the how and when so that future generations could
benefit from that talent, probably because they all moved to the city (dust bowl years)!
At a future class,
Max Hale will be sharing with us what he learned while attending an in depth
fruit tree pruning class, handouts and all… I am really looking forward to
further instruction on this subject as well as lunar planting! Hope to see you there.

Time Reminders
Asparagus:
For those who have
been growing Asparagus from seed in one-gallon pots that are 1 or 2 years old,
NOW is the time to harvest the crowns (roots) before
they begin to send up their delectable spring shoots. After washing much of the dirt away, lay them out to
slightly dry, then gather them up and gently place them into a burlap sack and
store them in a cool dry place. I
have a location in my basement that stays pretty cool if I don’t heat it, or
perhaps even under the house would suffice. They should keep well when stored this way until they are
ready to be planted out into their permanent beds this spring/summer. Also, I noticed that some sites
recommend that semi-damp moss be placed in with them so they do not dry out too
much. This I personally am not
sure of because I have found little to no information on raising and storing
crowns professionally, so I am winging it on this one. I opted not to use damp moss in storing
mine because the moisture may cause them to begin growing. I will just check my gunnysack full of
crowns every few weeks to keep a visual assessment of them. I know that when I have purchased them
in the past they always seemed to be pretty dry, so I believe that drying out
isn’t that big of a deal as long as they do not get crispy dry, which of course
is just a personal assessment.
The crowns harvested this year were 12 to 16 inches long. I planted 200 more seedlings just a few days prior to harvesting these. |
Tomatoes
& Peppers:
If you did not sprout
tomato or pepper seeds as suggested last month, NOW is the time to do so. Those that did should have plants
ranging in size from two to five inches high. Do not over water them while inside the house, this often
over looked zealous habit can cause your plants to rot off at soil level, thus
causing you to start all over again.
If your seedlings start turning yellowish it is because of over
watering, whether you believe so or not.
Also planting in peat pots can cause yellowing because they keep the
plants too wet. The only other reason for small plants like these to turn
yellow is over fertilizing. Those that worry that their pepper plants will be
too large before planting time may wish to quickly peruse the u-tube for
instructions on pruning pepper plants to find what I think is an exciting new
method of structuring pepper plants into wide growing heavy producing
plants. And maybe one of you would
like to give the class a lesson on this technique? (Please let me know)
I have 225 tomatoes about ready to plant... just waiting on the sun! |

Information on the Jujube
Thursday
night’s class was very informative and the delivery was great, in fact I was so
motivated I wanted to run out and buy a half dozen trees or more. My mind raced with ideas where to place
them, how to grow them, and especially the fact that they didn’t need much
pruning at all, plus the many medicinal benefits they could bring to my family
and friends. But after looking at
some additional information on the Jujube I have concluded that it may not, at
least for me up here on the hill, be the best suitable tree for our climate,
simply because it needs very long (105 to 115 days) hot summers, which we
seldom have, and adequate water during the summer, just for it to produce
fruit. Plus the following report
states that it is viable only to 50 F; that’s 50 above
freezing not below. I know that
most of us that used Fred Benson as a realtor was told that this area is nestled in the middle of the banana belt of Idaho, but unfortunately my banana producing property seems to be
frozen harder than an iceberg in the deep Antarctic each year due to
the sub-zero weather I have.
Just in case you didn’t notice, it is the reason my e-mail is
idahoiceman@gmail.com… a handle
given to me by Brian Biehler, who helped set up my CB radio communications
system; he couldn’t believe the temperature difference between here and where
he lived in Kamiah. But please
don’t let my personal conclusion hinder your creative or adventurous nature by
any means, please buy and plant Jujube trees and prove my conclusions wrong,
after all I am no authority on the subject. Mike mentioned to me Friday morning that he has known or has
been told that the Jujube plant can prevail in 200 below
weather. That may be true (I
wasn’t able to find that info) but for me, it is too iffy, so I will hold off
and put my efforts in other known to survive plants that may give me better
results. I guess that’s the
skeptic in me!! Anyway, here is
what I found that seems to be impressive about Jujubes. This covers some of what Mike taught
last night, which I thought was presented very well.
Ziziphus jujuba, (from the Greek zizyfon),
commonly called jujube (sometimes
jujuba), red date, Chinese date,
Korean date, or Indian date is a species of Ziziphus in the buckthorn family (Rhamnaceae), used primarily as a shade tree that also bears
fruit.
It is a small
deciduous tree or shrub reaching a height of between 16 to 39 feet, usually
with thorny branches. The leaves
are shiny-green, ovate-acute (Having an oval outline or ovoid shape, like an egg). The
flowers are small with five inconspicuous yellowish-green petals. The fruit is an edible oval drupe (outer fleshy skin surrounds a pit,
with a seed inside). When immature it is a smooth green with
the consistency and taste of an apple, maturing brow to a purplish-black and
eventually wrinkled, looking like a small date. There is a single hard stone similar to an olive stone.
The tree tolerates a wide range of temperatures
and rainfall, though it requires hot summers and sufficient water for
acceptable fruiting. Unlike most of
the other species in the genus, it tolerates fairly cold winters, surviving
temperatures down to 50 F.
This enables the jujube to grow in mountain or desert habitats, provided
there is access to underground water through the summer. The species Ziziphus jujuba grows in
cooler regions of Asia. Five or
more other species of Ziziphus are widely distributed in milder climates to hot
deserts of Asia and Africa. In
Madagascar the trees grow everywhere in the western part of the island from the
north to the south. It is an
invasive species, threatening mostly protected area.
Culinary
use: Candied dried fruit
is eaten as a snack. In China a
wine is made from its fruit.
Jujubes are sometimes preserved by storing in a jar filled with liquor,
which allows them to be kept fresh for a long time, especially through the
winter. In Lebanon and other
Mid-Eastern countries the fruit is eaten as snacks or alongside a dessert after
a meal. The dry fruit was often
used as padding in leather horse-saddles in Pakistan. In Madagascar, jujube fruit are eaten fresh or dried. People also use those fruits to make
jam.
Medicinal
use: In China and Korea it is “believed” to
alleviate stress and is traditionally used for anti-fungal, anti-bacterial,
anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory, sedative, anti-spastic,
anti-fertility/contraception, hypotensive and anti-nephritic, cardiotonic,
anti-oxidant, immunostimulant and wound healing properties.
But in a controlled
clinical trial it was found that the fruits were helpful for chronic
constipation, and in another clinical trial, Zizyphus jujuba was proved to be
effective against neonatal jaundice.

15 Reasons Why Your Food Bill Is Going To
Start SOARING
February 21, 2014
Did you know that the
U.S. state that produces the most vegetables is going through the worst drought
it has ever experienced and that the size of the total U.S. cattle herd is now
the smallest that it has been since 1951? Just the other day, a CBS News
article boldly declared that “food prices soar as incomes stand
still“, but the truth is
that this is only just the beginning. If the drought that has been
devastating farmers and ranchers out west continues, we are going to see prices
for meat, fruits and vegetables soar into the stratosphere. Already, the
federal government has declared portions of 11 states to be “disaster areas”, and California farmers are
going to leave half a million acres sitting idle this year because of the
extremely dry conditions. Sadly, experts are telling us that things are
probably going to get worse before they get better (if they ever do). As
you will read about below, one expert recently told National Geographic that
throughout history it has been quite common for that region of North America to
experience severe droughts that last for decades. In fact, one drought
actually lasted for about 200 years. So there is the possibility that the
drought that has begun in the state of California may not end during your
entire lifetime.
This drought has gotten
so bad that it is starting to get national attention. Barack Obama
visited the Fresno region on Friday, and he declared that “this is going to be
a very challenging situation this year, and frankly, the trend lines are such
where it’s going to be a challenging situation for some time to come.”
According to NBC News, businesses across the region are shutting down,
large numbers of workers are leaving to search for other work, and things are
already so bad that it “calls to mind the Dust Bowl of the 1930s“…
In the state’s Central
Valley — where nearly 40 percent of all jobs are tied to agriculture production
and related processing — the pain has already trickled down. Businesses across
a wide swath of the region have shuttered, casting countless workers adrift in
a downturn that calls to mind the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.
If you will recall, there have been warnings that Dust Bowl conditions were going to return to
the western half of the country for quite some time.
Now the mainstream media
is finally starting to catch up.
And of course these
extremely dry conditions are going to severely affect food prices. The
following are 15 reasons why your food bill is going to start soaring…
#1 2013 was the driest year on record for the state of California, and 2014 has been
exceptionally dry so far as well.
#2 According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 91.6
percent of the entire state of California is experiencing “severe to exceptional drought” even as you read this article.
#3 According to CNBC, it is being projected that California farmers
are going to let half a million acres of farmland sit idle this year because of the crippling drought.
#4 Celeste Cantu, the general manager for the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority, says that this drought could have a “cataclysmic” impact on food prices…
Given that California
is one of the largest agricultural regions in the world, the effects of any
drought, never mind one that could last for centuries, are huge. About 80
percent of California’s freshwater supply is used for agriculture. The cost of
fruits and vegetables could soar, says Cantu. “There will be cataclysmic
impacts.”
#5 Mike Wade, the executive director of the
California Farm Water Coalition, recently explained which crops he believes will be hit the hardest…
Hardest hit would be
such annual row crops as tomatoes, broccoli, lettuce, cantaloupes, garlic,
peppers and corn. Wade said consumers can also expect higher prices and
reduced selection at grocery stores, particularly for products such as almonds,
raisins, walnuts and olives.
#6 As I discussed in a previous article, the rest of the nation is extremely dependent
on the fruits and vegetables grown in California. Just consider the following statistics regarding what percentage of our produce is grown
in the state…
-99 percent of the artichokes
-44 percent of asparagus
-two-thirds of carrots
-half of bell peppers
-89 percent of cauliflower
-94 percent of broccoli
-95 percent of celery
-90 percent of the leaf lettuce
-83 percent of Romaine lettuce
-83 percent of fresh spinach
-a third of the fresh tomatoes
-86 percent of lemons
-90 percent of avocados
-84 percent of peaches
-88 percent of fresh strawberries
-97 percent of fresh plums
#7 Of course it isn’t just agriculture which will be
affected by this drought. Just consider this chilling statement by Tim Quinn, the executive director of the
Association of California Water Agencies…
“There are places in
California that if we don’t do something about it, tens of thousands of people
could turn on their water faucets and nothing would come out.”
#8 The Sierra Nevada snow pack is only about 15
percent of what it normally is. As the New York Times recently explained, this is going to be absolutely
devastating for Californians when the warmer months arrive…
Experts offer dire
warnings. The current drought has already eclipsed previous water crises, like
the one in 1977, which a meteorologist friend, translating into language we
understand as historians, likened to the “Great Depression” of droughts. Most
Californians depend on the Sierra Nevada for their water supply, but the snow pack there was just 15 percent of normal in early
February.
#9 The underground aquifers that so many
California farmers depend upon are being drained at a staggering rate…
Pumping from aquifers is
so intense that the ground in parts of the valley is sinking about a foot a
year. Once aquifers compress, they can never fill with water again. It’s no
surprise Tom Willey wakes every morning with a lump in his throat. When we ask
which farmers will survive the summer, he responds quite simply: those who dig
the deepest and pump the hardest.
#10 According to an expert interviewed by National
Geographic, the current drought in the state of California could potentially
last for 200 years or more as
some mega-droughts in the region have done in the past…
California is
experiencing its worst drought since record-keeping began in the mid 19th
century, and scientists say this may be just the beginning. B. Lynn Ingram, a paleoclimatologist at the University of
California at Berkeley, thinks that California needs to brace itself for a
mega-drought—one that could last for 200 years or more.
#11 Much of the western U.S. has been exceedingly dry
for an extended period of time, and this is hurting huge numbers of farmers and ranchers all the way from Texas to the west coast…
The western United
States has been in a drought that has been building for more than a decade, according
to climatologist Bill Patzert of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
“Ranchers in the West
are selling off their livestock,” Patzert said. “Farmers all over the
Southwest, from Texas to Oregon, are fallowing in their fields because of a
lack of water. For farmers and ranchers, this is a painful drought.”
#12 The size of the U.S. cattle herd has been
shrinking for seven years in a row, and it is now the smallest that it has been
since 1951. But our population has more than
doubled since then.
#13 Extremely unusual weather patterns are playing
havoc with crops all over the planet right now. The following is an
excerpt from a recent article by Lizzie Bennett…
Peru, Venezuela, and Bolivia have experienced rainfall heavy enough to
flood fields and rot crops where they stand. Volcanic eruptions in Ecuador are also creating problems due to cattle ingesting ash with
their feed leading to a slow and painful death.
Parts of Australia have been in drought for years affecting cattle
and agricultural production.
Rice production in China has been affected by record low
temperatures.
Large parts of the UK
are underwater, and much of that water is sea water which is poisoning the
soil. So wet is the UK that groundwater is so high it is actually coming out of
the ground and adding to the water from rivers and the sea. With the official
assessment being that groundwater flooding will continue until MAY, and that’s if it doesn’t rain again between now
and then. The River Thames is 65 feet higher than normal in some areas, flooding town
after town as it heads to the sea.
#14 As food prices rise, our incomes are staying about
the same. The following is from a CBS News article entitled “Food prices soar as incomes stand
still“…
While the government
says prices are up 6.4 percent since 2011, chicken is up 18.4 percent, ground
beef is up 16.8 percent and bacon has skyrocketed up 22.8 percent, making it a
holiday when it’s on sale.
#15 As I have written about previously, median
household income has fallen for five years in a row. So average Americans are going to have to
make their food budgets stretch more than they ever have before as this drought
drags on.
If the drought does
continue to get worse, small agricultural towns all over California are going
to die off.
The farms in and around
Mendota are dying of thirst. The signs are everywhere. Orchards with trees
lying on their sides, as if shot. Former farm fields given over to tumbleweeds.
Land and cattle for sale, cheap.
Large numbers of
agricultural workers continue to hang on, hoping that somehow there will be
enough work for them. But as Evelyn Nieves recently observed, panic is starting to set in…
Off-season, by
mid-February, idled workers are clearly anxious. Farm workers and everyone else
who waits out the winter for work (truckers, diesel providers, packing
suppliers and the like) are nearing the end of the savings they squirrel away
during the season. The season starts again in March, April at the latest, but
no one knows who will get work when the season begins, or how much.
People are scared,
panicked even.
I did not write this
article so that you would panic.
Yes, incredibly hard
times are coming. If you will recall, the 1930s were also a time when the
United States experienced extraordinarily dry weather conditions and a
tremendous amount of financial turmoil. We could very well be entering a
similar time period.
Worrying about this
drought is not going to change anything. Instead of worrying, we should
all be doing what we can to store some things up while food is still relatively
cheap. Our grandparents and our great-grandparents that lived during the
days of the Great Depression knew the wisdom of having a well-stocked food
pantry, and it would be wise to follow their examples.
Please share this
article with as many people as you can. The United States has never
faced anything like this during most of our lifetimes. We need to
shake people out of their “normalcy bias” and get them to understand that big changes
are coming.

is the other article I said I would send you, I found it very informative.
Battle For Humanity Nearly
Lost. Solution? Grow Food.
After having now
analyzed over 1,000 foods, super-foods, vitamins, junk foods and popular
beverages for heavy metals and other substances at the Natural News Forensic Food Labs, I have arrived at a conclusion so alarming and urgent that it can
only be stated bluntly. Based on
what I am seeing via atomic spectroscopy analysis of all the dietary substances
people are consuming on a daily basis, I must now announce that the
battle for humanity is nearly lost.
The food supply appears to be intentionally designed to end human life rather than nourish it.
Life-destroying
toxins intentionally engineered into the food supply
My lab has
uncovered scientific proof that substances are intentionally formulated into
dietary products to drive consumers mentally insane while causing widespread infertility, organ
damage and a loss of any ability to engage in rational, conscious thinking.
These toxic substances are being found across the entire food supply including
in conventional foods, organic foods, “natural” products and dietary
supplements.
This goes far
beyond the mere contamination of foods with heavy metals — a subject which is
grave all by itself. Rather, this is about the intentional formulation of toxic substances into products consumed by
the masses on a regular basis.
The result is what
you see unfolding around you right now: mass insanity, incredible escalations
of criminality among political operatives, clinical insanity among an
increasing number of mainstream media writers and reporters, widespread
infertility in young couples, skyrocketing rates of kidney failure and dialysis
patients, plus a near total loss of rational thinking among the voting masses.
The effects of this
are devastating to human civilization:
the collapse of a capable workforce, the rise of the masses dependent on
government for survival, the collapse of free democracies due to the cognitive
retardation of the voting masses, an exploding prison population and the rise
of for-profit corporate prison systems, and even the near complete collapse of
any ability of the news-consuming public to parse and comprehend even the most
basic information such as national debt figures.
The long-term
effects of this widespread food poisoning phenomenon will be the utter
downfall of modern human civilization for numerous reasons ranging from
economic non-sustainability to environmental destruction and the global rise of
political violence as we are seeing right now in Kiev.
As more and more
lab results have been documented here at the Natural News Forensic Food Lab, it
has become increasingly apparent to me that humanity cannot survive the
mass engineered poisoning of the food supply.
You are, of course,
being expertly distracted from all this with Powerball jackpots, tabloid
celebrity news, staged political drama and of course the all-time favorite
distraction of every crumbling empire: violent sports.
What
we’re finding in foods, vitamins and supplements
What I’ve published
so far just barely scratches the surface of what we are finding. Here’s an
overview of some of the incredibly shocking findings we have now documented:
• The now-infamous
“yoga mat chemical” used by Subway in their breads is also widely used across
the fast-food industry. McDonald’s, Chik-Fil-A, Wendy’s, Arby’s and many other
restaurants also use the chemical azodicarbonamide which is linked to cancer. Importantly, this is not a contaminant. This is
an ingredient which is intentionally added to the recipes in order for the chemical to be consumed by
the masses.
• There is no
logical reason why chemicals
like azodicarbonamide need to be added to recipes of fast food breads and buns.
The chemical serves no necessary functional or nutritive
purpose. It seems to exist solely for the purpose of delivering the chemical to
hundreds of millions of consumers by blending it into popular fast foods. The
sandwiches in which this chemical is found are merely delivery
mechanisms for toxic
substances that harm human biology.
• Many mainstream,
popular vitamin brands are intentionally spiked with such high levels of copper
that if taken on a daily basis, they will cause mental insanity and
psychosis. Some of these vitamin
brands are routinely advertised on television to the mainstream masses,
encouraging them to consume the vitamins, many of which are manufactured by
companies owned in full or part by pharmaceutical interests.
• A popular dietary
herb designed to improve brain performance actually contains very high levels
of lead in most products we tested (which were sourced from China). Lead is a
toxic heavy metal that damages brain function. In this way, people who are
suffering from early dementia or Alzheimer’s are actually accelerated toward
brain destruction via certain herbal supplements, which appear designed to
deliver toxic heavy metals to the brain. It was truly shocking to me to
discover that “brain herbs” contain so much lead that they contribute to brain
damage.
• At the same time,
we found that the very same “brain herb,” when grown in the USA, contains
virtually no heavy metals. This is proof that the herb does not “naturally”
absorb heavy metals as if by magic. Interestingly, the highest levels of
brain-damaging metals are consistently found in herbs imported from China. I’m
openly asking this question: Is there a covert heavy metals war being waged against America by China? After
all, poisoning the population with heavy metals is a very effective way to
collapse a nation by destroying the sanity and health of its people. (More on
this topic later…)
• Popular
children’s vitamins sold in nearly every grocery store and pharmacy across
America is especially formulated to be incredibly toxic to developing
neurology. The number of synthetic, toxic chemicals added to nearly every
popular brand of children’s vitamins is truly staggering, and many of them seem
to be selected for their ability to target and disrupt neurological function.
From a purely scientific point of view, these “vitamins” would honestly have to
be called “poison pills,” yet parents are encouraged to feed them to their
children every single day as part of a modern-day health ritual that actually
causes long-term harm.
• At our atomic
spectroscopy lab, we have confirmed trace levels of aluminum in regular
atmospheric air, confirming the
fact that all agricultural soils are being inundated with aluminum which is literally falling out of the sky.
This is not merely aluminum in our laboratory air, as many labs contain
aluminum floors or furniture, causing an unusually high aluminum concentration
in laboratory air. Rather, parts per billion concentrations of aluminum have
been measured in regular atmospheric air sampled far from any building or
laboratory. The result of this phenomenon is that aluminum levels are
rising in nearly all soil-grown crops from
which everyday food is derived. While aluminum is far less harmful than lead,
cadmium or mercury, the repeated accumulation of aluminum is believed to be
tied to degenerative brain disorders across the population.
• As Natural News
readers already know, GM corn is engineered to grow a deadly toxin inside each
and every grain of corn. This deadly toxin is then consumed by all the people
who unknowingly eat genetically engineered crops via breakfast cereals, corn
tortillas, corn snack chips, etc. This mass poisoning of the population is
clearly intentional, as it is deliberately engineered into the crops, which are
grown for the sole purpose of human and animal consumption. This mass poisoning
is not accidental, in other words, and in fact the technology is promoted under
the justification that it will “feed the world.” Indeed it will feed the world…
poison.
Food
has become a weapon against humanity
As you can see from
these examples, food has become a weapon against humanity. It is the new vector
for a stealth world war against humankind — a war which is being quietly waged
right this very moment with weapons you would probably find in your own pantry.
World War I was fought primarily in the trenches, with soldiers
slinging chunks of lead at each other and using crude chemical weapons like
mustard gas.
World War II
was fought with a genocidal intention, using more advanced kinetic weapons and
chemical weapons engineered by pharmaceutical companies.
Out of World War II
and the Nazi era came IG Farben, the chemical-pharma conglomerate which was
later split into three companies, one of which is now known as Bayer, the same
company that makes children’s aspirin and various chemicals used throughout the
food supply. (Check your history. This is factual and true.)
World War III
appears to already be underway, and it is being waged as a stealth war via the food supply. The chemicals are very
similar to those used in World War I and World War II except that instead of
being deployed on the battle field, today’s chemical weapons are
deployed via the food supply and
often even listed right on ingredients labels.
Toxic ingredients
like sodium nitrite and aspartame are formulated to work at sub-acute levels so
they don’t cause people to drop dead right away. Instead, they cause the
chronic, long-term degenerative collapse of body and mind, leaving behind a
wake of global cancer, kidney failure and extreme mental disorders including
psychosis. This damage to body and mind, in turn, destroys economies, education
systems, scientific advancement, free democracies and even cultural integrity.
The silent food bombing of humanity
What the United
States Air Force did to Dresden in World War II via high-elevation bombing
runs, the global chemical and food conglomerates are now doing to the world
populations via the drive-thru window. But there are no bombs dropping out of
the sky and there are no firestorms lighting up the cityscape at night.
Instead, the silent, ignorant masses are simply marched to their deaths, one
meal at a time, almost like a cargo train full of “useless eaters” clicking and
clacking its way to Auschwitz.
On the way to their
own deaths, of course, they pay the mandatory tolls to the pharmaceutical
giants, hospitals, cancer clinics, doctors and health insurance mandates. Much
like victims of Nazi genocide had their gold fillings pulled out of their
mouths before they were gassed to death, today’s mainstream consumers are
emptied of their bank accounts, assets and insurance policies before finally
being discarded by the system.
There are
tremendous profits to be made, you see, from poisoning the masses and then
“treating” them for the side effects of that poisoning. This racket is so
massive and so deeply embedded into our greed-driven culture that very few
people even recognize it’s happening to them. But make no mistake: You are not
valued by the system for your humanity, your spirit, your innovation or your
imagination. You are only valued for your tax base at first, and then
ultimately your “disease management profits” which enrich global corporations
while you are poked, prodded, dosed, irradiated and drugged to death while the
hospital racks up page after page of medical procedure billings codes which
will be covered by Medicare… or Obamacare.
Here’s the way out: grow your own food
Sound too grim to
be true? Let’s look at some solutions on the positive side. The way out of all
this is to grow your own food or
at least buy as much as you can from local farmers and CSAs. Any food acquired
through mainstream corporate sources is likely to be intentionally engineered,
laced and packaged with incredibly toxic poisons ranging from heavy metals to
hormone disrupting packaging containers. But food grown by honest farmers
provides genuine nourishment, not death.
In fact, the future
of human civilization almost certainly belongs exclusively to those who either
grow their own food or make arrangements for others to grow it for them. The
factory-made food consumed by the masses is quite truly a poison
delivery system that has no
purpose other than mass disease, death and profit.
If you wish to
avoid being a victim of this system, you must avoid its products. Stop buying
packaged processed foods. Utterly avoid all processed meats containing sodium
nitrite, including bacon, hot dogs, sausage, ham, deli meats, pepperoni pizza
and even beef jerky.
Stop drinking all
diet soda, obviously. Aspartame is toxic to biology. All artificial sweeteners
have harmful side effects if consumed in sufficient quantity.
Be skeptical of
“natural” products which are heavily processed and refined in some way. Ask
about countries of origin. Check heavy metals lab
results to stay
informed.
Except
for rare exceptions, stop buying super-foods and supplements made in China, the
world’s most polluted food producer. The U.S. natural products industry has
practically been taken over by China over the last decade, and much of what you
think is safe and organic is actually heavily polluted, either accidentally or
deliberately, in mainland China.
